Story Idea #1

My first story idea, discuss if you will. The name is Annihalated Empires. It's a futuristic game where the galaxy has three factions: The UEMF, Zilons, and Mortegs. The UEMF(United Earth Military Force) is in an Alliance with the Zilons, who are the first three alien races they came in contact with. The Zilons consist of the Haltons, the Gratuns and the Indigis. The Mortegs are an oppressive faction that conquers all the races in it's way; they are feared by the whole galaxy. The UEMF and Zilons are working together to stop the Mortegs, but are vastly outnumbered. After 5 years of consant warfare a scout reports something, the Mortegs have a key to thier power, what they call the Nexus. The Nexus is a base burried deep into one of thier planets, it is where most of thier military force is trained/built. The UEMF and the Zilons find this out but the planet is too well protected. They soon discover a seceret though, on a planet close to the Nexus is a massive power station, this supplies most of the Empires power, including for the Nexus. A few choice soldiers volunteer to attack the station, even though it is surely suicidal. They plot for months and finally attack the station. When it is destroyed something unexpected happens, the massive explosion rocks the planet an sends it off course, right into Earth! The heroes who destroyed the station are trapped in a bunker and are helpless as the planet plows into Earth. The causalties are massive and the UEMF is weakened greatly. Despite all odds the UEMF and the Zilons destroy the Nexus by sending a full-scale invasion to the planet. The end! Long story but it could definitly work for a game, discuss away!

Potential but I dont understand exactly how this story lets the player take control of any of the sides thru the story. It has GREAT potential as the three sides can allow for multiple campaigns

I was thinking you could probably play many different roles/characters, like for the good side you would play as the scout who discovers the nexus, soldiers patrolling the border, defence force defending a planet from the Mortegs, the heroes infiltrating the station and finally a soldier assaulting the nexus. For the bad side you'd just have their view of those and have to do the opposite of the good factions.

Could you maybe work out a HIGH overview timeline? That would help me alot

2550:UEMF comes in contact with Mortegs
2555:UEMF forms an alliance with Zilons
2560-2600:Mortegs take several Zilon planets
2600:UEMF and Zilons declare war with Mortegs; patrols set up on the border
2605:Scout discovers Nexus; plans are made to destroy it
2620:Discover power station and it's significance
2622:Heroes volunteer to suicide mission
2625:Station destroyed; Earth is devasted
2630:Mortegs are invading many planets again; all
hope seems lost
2640:Come up with plan to destroy Nexus; UEMF support and Zilons assault
2645:Nexus attacked and destroyed; takes 1 month.

Interesting. We'll vote on it once we get at least three ideas Writing mine now

Im going for a more modern (our time period) story

Cool, I figured most people would, I wanted something a little more unique though. Not that a modern one couldn't be, I'm sure yours will be very good!

Im actually rolling with a script I ran awhile ago
