    How about with the TDS style.. We let them choose a few pieces of their outfit!!! EG: Draw the head body and gun separately. THEN! they can pick the Armour type they want in the beginning.. So recon armour = 10 speed 5 armour berserker armour =3 speed 20 armour!!!

    This could be a very innovative part of the game.. Keeping the TDS style but using that essence from RPG's!

    Yes, and let them choose through different helmets too, although the helmets should have too much of an impact on stats.

    Accuraccy and maybe damage (or) something like a laser sight or a tighter pull on seeker missiles.
